Last May I was very excited to participate in the series ‘A Tale of Four Warlords’ for White Dwarf. I loved the original series and was thrilled to be a part of the new incarnation and the relaunch of the monthly magazine.
One thing I knew I wanted to do from the outset was create a visually distinct army and decided on the blue/grey scheme you see here. I have received overwhelmingly positive feedback on the army from people, many of whom recognised me in my day job at Warhammer World. I’d just like to thank everyone who took the time to comment on the army, either in person or online.
Finally, I would like to thank my good friend and colleague, Louise Sugden, for taking the amazing photos you see here.
These are great mate – I remember seeing these in WD and being really impressed with the departure from standard Nurgle colours. Lovely to see them again – will you be adding to this army?
Thanks for the kind words.
I’m probably going to call the army done for now. I have way too many other projects to work on at the moment.
It differs a lot of the typical Nurgle scheme and still it completely fits the theme!!
Very nice miniatures, probably one of the few nurgle forces I really really like!!
Thanks.
Whenever I think of Nurgle, images of drab, neutral colour palettes are usually summoned for the connotations of decay and pestilence they bring. I am glad to see that these models keep that theme of pestilence going, yet the colours here evoke the vibrance and vitality that ‘Grandfather’ Nurgle feels in granting those his vision of new life 🙂
